0n June 24th, 1988 Chef Ann Cashion and John Fulchino met in the Glover park neighborhood of Washington, D.C., at restaurateur Rob Wilder's Tex-Mex eatery, 'Austin Grill'. Cashion helmed the kitchen, while Fulchino poured margaritas.
Thirty three years, and eleven restaurant openings later, James Beard Award Winning Chef Ann Cashion and John Fulchino remain 'companeros', business partners, and best friends still.
Through the openings of Cashion's Eat Place (1995), Johnny's Half Shell (1999), Taqueria Nacional (2007), and now Los Companeros (2021), the pair continue to enjoy the journey of delivering a comforting, and fun filled experience to D.C. diners. They promised each other this will be their last restaurant opening. So, come partake in the food, the music, the fun, and the laughter!
